Its May 28, 2008 but HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Who Say's New Years comes only once a year?

Why do we think New Years and resolutions only take place once a year? I've never know them to last longer than a month with anybody. So to make ourselves feel better we put it off til the next year thinking we will start over fresh "for the new year". What about the rest of the year? I have come to realize that everyday should be treated like a new year. Just like the song, We Fall Down But We Get Up! Why does one bad day, week or month determine the rest of the year? Just like we have good days and bad days. Let the good out weigh the bad. Once you decide to do something different with your life, stick to it! Even if you fall out of routine for a couple days or a month. There should always be more days to look forward to than back on anyway. I think the easiest way to do this is to take baby steps into the change. That way its more attainable.

That may be true for most people, but some people (like myself), just don't have the drive. It's a lot easier to say take baby steps when you're not even holding your head up yet. All of that has to come from within. A fire in you that makes you want to strive and continue what it was you originally started. There are things in our life that hold us back from what it is that we want to do, what it is we should be doing. Until we get those things straight that are holding us back, or even better, get them out of our life, or let things go for that matter, we'll still be stuck in the same rut. Unable to hold our head up.

Everything is mental. We control the outcome of a situation with our thoughts. A baby keeps trying until that head is up. So taking baby steps doesn't really mean walking it means crawling before you walk. It means learning to do EVERYTHING one step at a time. We all have obstacles in our lives. It doesn't mean that its holding you back. Its just slowing you down, it can only hold you back if you let it. Sounds like you know what you need to do in your situation so take the first step to a better life. Realizing you aren't happy and wanting to change it is a good start. You know in your heart there is a better life for you to live. Read some motivational books. Look at the glass as half full instead of half empty. Remember how beautiful a sunny day is when its raining! And i am here to listen. Thanks for the comment.
